My Design Approach
I approach product design through strategic thinking – shaping not just how things look, but how they scale and influence other parts of the product. For me, design isn’t just about UI or design systems – it’s about asking the right questions early, aligning teams around a shared vision, and making intentional decisions that hold up over time.
Whether I’m building a tokenized design system, leading AI-powered search, or even mentoring designers through career pivots, I’m always thinking about the broader impact: How will this scale? How will it be maintained? Will this still make sense six months from now…or years from now?
I don’t just ship to prod — I ship with purpose and intentionality.
From Creating Healthcare Videos in Government…The Unexpected Spark That Pulled Me Into UX Design…
I didn’t start in UX originally – I began in video and communications, but everything changed when I worked on a government project to digitize patient records across BC. Seeing how design could solve complex, meaningful problems lit a fire in me. This inspired me to go from communicating change in video to actually designing change.
Since then, I’ve fully invested in my UX journey, earning a degree in interaction design and never looking back.
Professional UX Experience
For a detailed overview of my responsibilities, please view my resume or LinkedIn

I’m passionate about mentorship as more than a one-time conversation – it’s about offering ongoing support as designers grow, reflect, and find their path.
Since 2021, I’ve mentored through BobaTalks and ADPList, and supported student communities as a hackathon mentor and judge. I care deeply about creating space for others to learn, ask questions, and feel seen in the design community.
I also currently help advise the Vancouver Design Community.
Speaking
Beyond my day-to-day design work, I love sharing what I’ve learned (and what I’m still learning) with the community.
I’ve spoken at conferences, joined panel discussions, and led hands-on UX workshops – always aiming to make design more accessible, practical, and human.

Outside my 9-5, I dive into my other creative rituals
Outside of the 9-5, I trade pixels for pour-overs and layer styles for latte art. My pandemic hobby as a home barista turned into a full-on ritual – complete with blueberry matcha experiments and maple hojicha-fueled mornings.
If I’m not brewing, I’m hopping between cafes, getting back into jazz piano, trying the best new monthly ice cream flavours (Earnest > Rain or Shine), or creating a PRD for a travel plan.
